What we do

BRINGING VALUE TO LSU STUDENT-ATHLETES OUTSIDE OF SPORTS

Bayou Traditions raises funds to provide Name, Image & Likeness (NIL) opportunities to selected LSU student-athletes. We make NIL deals more accessible, allowing student-athletes to gain finance and business experience without compromising their focus on studies and sports.

NIL is a competitive space and now influences where an athlete attends college. We need the tiger community to join us and keep LSU at the forefront of NIL.

INTRODUCING
THE LIVVY FUND
LIVVY DUNNE

LSU gymnast, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model and the highest valued woman in college athletics, Livvy Dunne, has joined us to level up NIL and brand-building for other female student-athletes. Support the Livvy Fund to provide opportunities exclusively to women’s sports at LSU.

Deep roots

A TRADITION OF IMPACT

LSU has a tradition of creating champions on the field. These champions directly affect our economy. When LSU wins, local businesses in Louisiana win. LSU athletics creates new jobs, increased revenue, increased household income, and impacts every member of our community. NIL now plays a part in this impact. It is vital to have a strong NIL program to have champion level athletes.

SUPPORT LSU STUDENT ATHLETES

With the 2021 NIL law change, student-athletes can now monetize off of their name, image, and likeness. To put it simply, prior to July 1, 2021, student-athletes could not even accept a free meal at a restaurant. Now, athletes can get paid for marketing and endorsement deals: think social media posts, appearances, and autograph signings. With eighty-six percent of college athletes living below the poverty line (*National College Players Association), NIL can truly impact the lives of our student-athletes.

LSU has a tradition of having the greatest fanbase in college athletics. We need your support to build our NIL program, and set selected LSU athletes up for success beyond their collegiate careers.

Exciting time for college athletes. Most excited for non-scholarship athletes who may have been working jobs outside of sports to make ends meet. Free meals, sponsored posts, signings will make their lives a lot easier. Long overdue.
